Holotype ♀ of Southia opposita (Fabricius, 1803) deposited in [NHRS] Naturhistoriska riksmuseet, Entomology, Stockholm according to  Fennah 1980: "...The type, and only known specimen, of this species is a female, not a male as given by Stal (1869:95), in the Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet, Stockholm." | |||
